Digital Printing Applications

DIGITAL PRINTING APPLICATIONS

Digital printing is the process of printing digital-based images prepared by computers directly onto a variety of media substrates. Digital printing is a very important for advertising applications. It involves your artwork being created on a computer and then printed directly onto the material of your choice. These advertising applications can be applied easily in outdoor advertisements or indoors. Fast, quality and affordable service is easily applicable in self-adhesive printing, vinyl, one way vision, mesh and all digital printing types. In our country, solvent and water-based ink printing is mostly preferred. However, in the past few years, UV Printing has begun to come to the forefront.

Advancements in print technology are changing the communications playing field when it comes to quality, affordability and cutting-edge capabilities. Offset printing and digital printing are the major processes by which print jobs are undertaken – both utilizing four-color printing methods. Each option has its advantages, offering different techniques to meet the needs of diverse production projects. The increasing demand for personalized communications with quick turnaround times began a shift in the printing industry, as businesses around the world found themselves in need of services that produced high-volume output with color and variable data.

The main difference between offset printing and digital printing is the use of plates. Offset requires plates that are used to transfer an image onto a rubber blanket and that are rolled onto a sheeting of paper. It is called offset because the ink is not transferred directly to the paper.

With digital printing, there are no plates involved and the toner is distributed directly to the paper. There is a much shorter setup period for digital so it can be better for shorter on-demand jobs. Compared to other printing techniques in Digital Printing Applications, the time to get the right print is limited to just a few minutes. Therefore, digital print orders can be easily delivered on the same day or within the next day. Vinyl Types, Usage Areas

Standard Vinyl

This type of Vinyl it suitable for commercial use on shop windows, for party decorations, seasonal offers, Chromadek signs etc. However, we do not suggest it for vehicle branding since the quality of the paint work of a vehicle has a massive impact on the vinyl and could remove the paint from the vehicle when the vinyl is removed.

The downsides to standard vinyl are that it can shrink slightly over its lifetime and if used on channels and recesses it will pop out or bulge because of its strong memory.

Why would you choose standard vinyl?

  • Ideal for standard, flat applications.
  • Can be lower in price.
  • Short to medium lifespan (can suit most customer’s needs).

Cast Vinyl

This is the highest quality, premium type of vinyl. Cast Foils are applied with hot air and they normally have an 8 – 10-year lifespan. Cast vinyl is soft, thin and flexible, which makes it ideal for vehicle dress on cars, vans, motorcycles, planes, corrugated surfaces, etc.

Why choose cast vinyl?

  • It has a longer lifespan if applied over uneven surfaces, like pop rivets, deep grooves, notches, etc.
  • It won’t bulge – even in the most severe recesses.
  • It is soft, flexible and thin.

Transparent Vinyl

You can print your image on the front side with adhesive on the back, or print the image backwards (reverse) so the adhesive is on the front. Reverse side printing allows for your image to be placed on the inside of a window or other transparent surface.

From our bathrooms to our shoes, vinyl is seemingly everywhere. But have you ever considered this versatile material for your next print project? With its durability, affordability, convenience and endless opportunities for customization, vinyl is an excellent choice for a wide range of products. You can choose from several types of vinyl, and Tabela Arkası can help you find the perfect vinyl material for your next display.

Vinyl is a family of plastic materials derived from ethylene. One of the most common types of vinyl is polyvinyl chloride (PVC), so the term “vinyl” is often used to refer to PVC, though the family of vinyl materials extends beyond just PVC. Vinyl is an extremely versatile material, so it finds its way into our homes and businesses in a variety of ways, from shower curtains and plumbing pipes to flooring and more.

Vinyl is also a useful material for printing. The impressive level of versatility vinyl offers makes it a great option for many kinds of displays. Though vinyl can be a rigid material, vinyl displays are typically thin and flexible and may be transferred onto a surface. One of vinyl’s greatest advantages as a print media is that it can stand up to outdoor conditions, making it a great option for a wide range of applications.

Vinyl isn’t inherently an easy material to print on since it isn’t absorbent. However, modern printing methods make it possible to create vivid graphics on vinyl. There are two traditional methods that work for printing on vinyl along with a newer method:

Solvent-based inks: This method involves melting the surface of the vinyl just enough for the ink to penetrate into the material. It results in a graphic that is durable in the face of outdoor weather. The printed image should remain sharp and vivid for years.

Latex inks: Aqueous latex ink is another option since it bonds with the surface of the vinyl. However, latex inks won’t stand up to the elements as effectively as solvent inks. This method is a good option for temporary indoor displays since it’s easier and costs less than printing with solvent inks.

UV curable inks: Ultraviolet (UV) curing is a more environmentally-friendly process that doesn’t require the use of solvents or high heat yet still yields a durable and weather-resistant product. The UV energy contributes to a chemical reaction that makes the ink instantly harden onto the vinyl.

For banners, the process ends when details like metal grommets are added to finish out the banner and make it easy to hang. For decals, the vinyl will typically be cut to create custom shapes. It may then be transferred onto another material, such as ultra-board or a table covering.

In brief, Digital Printing Applications reduce the cost of advertisers as they can be used for many years and are available at low costs. It can be applied to any surface; In this way, even areas where advertising banners or any advertising application are not possible under normal conditions can be covered.

“Man’s relationship with ceramics, which has been going on for thousands of years, has reached a very different point in the last ten years. New formatting techniques that emerged with the development of digital technology have provided artists and designers with new opportunities to express themselves. With the use of iron oxide and ceramic toners in laser printers, images designed in computer environment can be transferred to glazed ceramic surfaces by using sticker papers. Transferring the images created in the digital environment to ceramic surfaces is possible by using two different techniques;

The first of these is the use of black toners containing iron oxide, known as laser printing.

The other method is carried out by using high temperature resistant ceramic toners. In this article, artists who use these printing techniques in ceramic art and some of their works are given, and also explanations about the processes of these techniques are given. With the comments made on the artwork images, the processes of digital printing techniques are also visualized with their stages.”
